This program is meant to bridge the gap for readers who may feel a little big for storytimes but are not yet ready for a full book group. Learners will begin by discussing Frog and Toad All Year: what was funny, if anything was confusing, any other stories it may resemble, etc. Discussion is intentionally a mix of literature comprehension questions and also an opportunity for readers to get to know one another and bring their own creative thoughts to the table. I founded Kids First Book Group at a Chicago independent bookstore eight years ago, and am proud to say three of our original members continue to attend every month! I also lead a preschool storytime at another independent bookstore, and spent a month designing and hosting storytime singalongs for little residents of a refugee camp in Athens, Greece.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
