In this one time class students will hear a chapter read from the book Frog and Toad are Friends by Arnold Lobel, and be shown critical thinking skills about the characters, setting, problem and solution before, during and after reading!

Before reading I will demonstrate critical thinking skills, such as studying the cover, and engage students to compare and contrast facts about frogs and toads. While reading, I will prompt students to think about why characters say and do certain things.
