Frindle Novel Study (Flex Class)
In this four-week flex study class, students will read Frindle by Andrew Clements, learn vocabulary, and participate in the study and analysis of the book.

Description
Class Experience
This class is taught in English.
Students will practice independent reading, then analyze and discuss the text by discussing vocabulary, setting, plot, and characters.
Students will read the book independently over our four-week class. Most of our assignments will be digital (in Nearpod) but I may provide a few printable graphic organizers for learners to use as they read through the book. Our classwork/homework, activities, and projects will be on Nearpod.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students can opt to receive a letter grade at the end of class.
No live meetings, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.

Detailed instructions and a class code with be provided prior to class. ***Merriam-Webster.com*** A blog post from this website is included in the pre-reading activity on Nearpod. Students do not need an account on Merriam-Webster.com (the online version of their dictionary) to read it; they will read the blog post from Nearpod. Frindle is generally recommended for ages 8+. Common Sense Media suggests ages 8+ as well. Contains no sensitive content.
