Class Experience

Hello, Outschool families! Welcome to the Friendship and Fun Volunteering Club. After many years of teaching wonderful Friendship and Fun Homerooms, I am really happy to offer a once per-week volunteer and social club for wonderful students like you!

Similar to the Friendship and Fun Homerooms, this class will allow students to forge positive relationships with their peers, work together cooperatively, and explore leadership skills.

The students will brainstorm and choose a volunteer service project to undertake. There are several projects that can be done remotely, such as coloring pictures for free meals recipients, or making and sending cards to veterans. Opportunities will he presented for kids to take leadership in many aspects of choosing and running a project.

Students can share their progress on the project during our weekly meet ups. All of this awesome stuff will take place in a friendly atmosphere, where we have a chance to chat and laugh together.

I’m super excited to get this started, and I can’t wait! I hope that you will join us to do some good for the world while making friends!
