Class experience
Having good friends is such an important part of life! Being a good friend is how to have good friends! This class is all about how to make and keep friends! Each class will focus on a different friendship quality. Students will create a large paper key to add to their friendship key ring! In each class we will discuss one of the "keys" to friendship. The key concepts are: 1. Let your friends have other friends. 2. Don’t put down others. 3. Make others feel special. 4. Be honest. 5. Keep...
Students will learn twelve key components to friendship. The key concepts are: 1. Let your friends have other friends. 2. Don’t put down others. 3. Make others feel special. 4. Be honest. 5. Keep secrets and promises. 6. Be a good listener. 7. Tell others what you like about them. 8. Put yourself in the other person’s place. 9. Encourage others when they try to do hard things. 10. Help others feel better if they make a mistake. 11. Apologize if you hurt someone’s feelings. 12. Forgive others if they hurt your feelings.

Students can use pencils, crayons, markers, or colored pencils to create and decorate each key. They will also use scissors to cut out the key during class. Finally, students will need a piece of yarn to use as the key ring. 1. print out of the keys that I send to you 2. scissors 3. crayons, colored pencils, or markers 4. a piece of yarn approximately 3-4 inches in length
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
