Description

Class Experience

This class is taught in English.
Students will practice and learn the basic parts of a friendly letter (heading, salutation, body, closing, and signature). With this understanding, he/she will have the knowledge needed to enjoy communicating with family members, friends, and other acquaintances through the art of writing letters.
I absolutely love to write and share the joy of writing, and I've taught writing for several years; including preparation for state writing exams. I understand that writing isn't everyone's cup of tea, so I am beyond happy to share some ways to bring your words to the surface. Oftentimes, it's just a matter of sorting out what's happening in your brain and getting it to come out in the right order. I'm here for you!
No homework will be assigned as this a one-time session. Letter-writing will be greatly encouraged after having had this class.
Students will need plenty of paper and writing utensils.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Assessment will be determined through communications during the session and through sharing and discussing the products created during our time together.
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
Students should already be quite comfortable with the basics of writing complete sentences and paragraphs.
