Bonjour! Do you love being Fancy like Nancy? Do you love to celebrate the holidays? If so, then you of course have to learn to speak some French! Join us in this 8 class course, which will be modeled after 8 Fancy Nancy books, which I am sure your Nancy lover has read. Each class, we will learn a particular group of words and phrases in French about a certain holiday Nancy experiences herself! Students will receive manipulatives and activities to complete along with the teacher during class. We will have so much fun learning French like Nancy while getting in the Spring/Summer season spirit. Allons-y--that's French for 'let's go'!
Class 1: ‘Fancy Nancy: Just My Luck’
Students will learn how to describe being 'lucky' in French, St. Patrick's Day vocabulary and colors
Class 2: 'Fancy Nancy and the Missing Easter Bunny’
Students will learn colors, animals, and vocabulary about Easter/Spring.
Class 3: ‘Fancy Nancy and the Elegant Easter’
Students will learn colors, animals, and vocabulary about Easter/Spring.
Class 4: ‘Fancy Nancy Spring Fashion Fling’
Students will learn clothing vocabulary.
Class 5: '‘Fancy Nancy Every Day is Earth Day’
Students will learn plant and Earth vocabulary and will celebrate Earth Day
Class 6: ‘Fancy Nancy Bonjour Butterfly’
Students will learn the life-cycle of a butterfly and words to describe and talk about butterflies.
Class 7: 1 ‘Sand Castles and Sand Palaces’
Students will learn beach and summer vocabulary.
Class 8: ‘ Fancy Nancy and the Mermaid Ballet’
Students will learn how to talk about mermaids and dance terms in French.Learning Goals
