In this multi-day summer camp, learners will engage in activities through videos and slides. We will be exploring French by learning many new vocabulary words. The themes for each day will be different and reflect on topics of summer, ourselves, and more! This summer camp is catered towards young learners who are interested in learning French, have little to no background knowledge of French. It is meant to be an introductory course to the language. I aspire for all learners to have fun and participate in class activities. An active engagement is highly encouraged! Day 1: Greetings/Introduction, Colours Day 2: Fruits and vegetables Day 3: Comment ça va? Our emotions (different moods, matching faces and expressions to emotions) Day 4: Farm animals and pets (I will introduce my cat Isa as well to the learners!) Day 5: All about Summer! Please visit the classroom regularly for handouts that we will be using for each day of class. All handouts will be posted in advance, prior to start of class. I look forward to having fun learning French with your learner!

Hello families! My name is Edria and I am a certified teacher from Ontario, Canada! I have 8 years of teaching experience in the classroom and online education.
I have a degree in Psychology and French studies, with a specialization in teaching French. I began my teaching career in French as a Second Language (Core French) in middle school and transitioned into teaching French Immersion to Grade 1's. Outside the classroom, I have had the opportunity to work abroad, teaching and mentoring Canadian students during film productions. In 2020, I co-founded a Nonprofit Organization that provides free computer programming and English courses to children and youth in need. I believe that education is a right, and it must be accessible to all.
I have a great passion for languages! I am currently learning German and Greek (simultaneously!). I speak English, French, and Albanian. I believe that learning a new language can be daunting and exciting at the same time. That is why my teaching philosophy is to remain adaptable and flexible for each student's needs, creating a safe environment for them to participate and learn with ease. Learning should be fun and engaging, and I strive my best to create a space where my students are enjoying their learning experience.
In addition to languages, my other passion is to travel and learn about different cultures and food. I am also an animal lover and have a cat that walks on a leash! I take great pride and joy in taking care of animals. Some of my classes are even catered towards cat lovers!
