Class Experience

*NO LIVE MEETINGS*

This is part 2 of my beginner self-paced classes but can be taken before or after the other two classes (Monster Fun and Wild Time).

This self-paced class is perfect for those who have busy schedules and have difficulty committing to a class that meets at the same time every week. As stated above, there are no live meetings for self-paced classes.

Ready to have some fun with your favourite toy? Learners are encouraged to choose a toy that will be their buddy as they learn French. In this course, we will be covering different topics (listed below) every week and their toy will be incorporated into the lesson. As an example, when we talk about clothing, students will be encouraged to describe what they would want their toy to wear. Even though it would be easier for the toy to be a person or animal (i.e. teddy bear), your learner can choose whatever they want. It will just be very funny if they choose something like a vehicle and they need to dress it!

What you will get when you enrol in this course:
- Learners will watch a video (made by me) where I will introduce and teach the topic of the week.
- A handout will also be provided that can be used during or after watching the lesson.
- There will be an activity of the week (drawing, quiz, games). I will sometimes utilize Nearpod.
- Students will engage with me by commenting or reacting to my weekly posts. I will also have a toy that will participate in the different activities and I will share my pictures with the class. Students will also be able to send in their completed worksheets so that I can review them and give feedback.
- At the end of the six weeks, I will send each learner a video with feedback on their progress and pronunciation.
- I will also provide extra videos that learners can watch and games that they can play at home.

Lesson 1: Body parts
Students will practice using the verb ‘‘avoir’’ (to have).
Lesson 2: Weather
Students will practice saying what the weather is like in complete sentences (example: Il pleut. Il fait beau.).
Lesson 3: Seasons
Students will practice using the verb ‘‘manger’’ (to eat).
Lesson 4: Clothing

Lesson 5: Months of the year
Students will practice saying what month they were born in.
Lesson 6: Days of the week

Throughout the six weeks, learners will revisit vocabulary that was taught in previous weeks to optimize retention.
