French Reading Comprehension Workshop: Christmas Stories (ages 8-10)

In this 45-minute French reading comprehension workshop, students will explore a festive Christmas-themed text while developing effective reading strategies. Through interactive discussion and guidance, learners will identify key information, analyze questions, and deepen their understanding of the text. After the session, a detailed answer key and a summary of reading strategies will be shared for individualized review and reflection.

What will be taught?

Reading comprehension strategies such as locating key details, understanding question types, and making inferences.

Step-by-step analysis of the comprehension questionnaire, with strategies for identifying key information and interpreting questions.

Interactive tips for reading success, such as repérage and inference strategies.


Review & Discussion (15 minutes):

Group discussion to review answers, clarify misunderstandings, and highlight effective strategies.

Sharing final tips and addressing student questions.


Post-Class Resources:

After the session, learners will receive the answer key to the comprehension questionnaire and a summary of the strategies discussed during class for further practice and individualized review.
