Description
Class Experience
In this class, we will be talking about Christmas from a secular view. I will be speaking in about 40-50% French depending on the group of students. This class is appropriate for students with no or some prior French knowledge. Your student may be a complete beginner, or they may already have some simple conversational knowledge (colors, numbers, greetings, etc.) We will listen to and then try to sing the French Christmas song "Vive le Vent" (Jingle Bells). I have been learning French for 6 years now, from French 1 - French 5. I am conversationally fluent and about a B2 level. I've been tutoring French since May 2020 when the French immersion school near us closed for quarantine and I've been teaching French on Outschool for 6 months. I took the French CLEP test a few years ago and got maybe 5 points away from a perfect score while testing out of and getting credit for all the French classes at my local community college. I also continue to take French lessons with native speakers, and I am working on getting my Bachelors in French.
Paper Watercolor paints (other paints would also work) Water to rinse the brush Optional smock, newspapers, etc.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
