40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this class, we will be talking about Christmas from a secular view. I will be speaking in about 40-50% French depending on the group of students. This class is appropriate for students with no or some prior French knowledge. Your student may be a complete beginner, or they may already have some simple conversational knowledge (colors, numbers, greetings, etc.) We will listen to and then try to sing the French Christmas song "Vive le Vent" (Jingle Bells). We will look at pictures and learn words for common Christmas vocabulary like "Christmas tree," "present," and "Santa Claus." Then, we will paint a Christmas picture of Santa, adding in snow, reindeer, trees, etc. We will practice the vocabulary while we paint, as well as learning/reviewing French colors.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been learning French for 6 years now, from French 1 - French 5. I am conversationally fluent and about a B2 level. I've been tutoring French since May 2020 when the French immersion school near us closed for quarantine and I've been teaching French on Outschool for 6 months.
I took the French CLEP test a few years ago and got maybe 5 points away from a perfect score while testing out of and getting credit for all the French classes at my local community college.
I also continue to take French lessons with native speakers, and I am working on getting my Bachelors in French.
