Homework
1 hour per week. This will be a practice-based class, if students practice the material we can move and grow faster together. While students are encouraged to meet with friends and work together outside of class this is not necessary.Assessment
This class is in informal assessment class, my teaching is based on the work of my students. The goal being that they achieve what they came to learn, students will be assessed individually and as a group, not for grades but personal growth.Grading

We will work on beginning French horn techniques. This will cover breathing basics, first sounds, buzzing, first notes, handling of the instrument. This will be a beginning to advanced level class and work at the pace of the students, so while these are all the possible aspects of the lesson, we may move at a slower pace to insure the success of all the students. This will be a positive and collaborative learning environment, there are no competitions or comparisons between students unless it is for constructive purposes. This will be a lecture or live class, there is no prior knowledge requirement for this course. Week one- June 1st will be first sounds, buzzing, how to hold the instrument, and how to breath Week two- June 8th is learning notes and breath control Week three- June 15th is learning notes, ideas of lip slurs and proper right hand position Week four - June 22nd is starting etudes and warm up sequences, and working on fundamentals
