Class Experience

Bonjour! My name is Laura. I am a French native speaker and I teach the class in French. I do translate as needed to help the learners to understand and memorize what they are learning.  The class is for teenagers from 15 to 18 years old. All are welcome. There is weekly homework to practice what has been learned during class.

The book and the workbook AlterEgo A1 are mandatory and learners must have them before starting class.

This class is taught in French.

I have over 20 years of experience in teaching languages (French and Italian) and I hold a certificate in teaching French as a Foreign Language. "Enseigner le français en langue étrangère aujourd'hui" by the Alliance Française de Vichy, France.

Weekly homework in the "Cahier d'activités" is expected to be done before the next lesson, including all audio, referred to in the book.

I do informal assessments as we go during the weeks, to evaluate their learning progress.
I also encourage them to stay organized with their workbook and stay on task with homework completed.

40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
