Class Experience

This class will concentrate on being able to form sentences in French as well as adding new vocabulary and improving listening skills. This will include the review of verbs and how to conjugate the common verbs used in the language.
Week 1, we will review numbers. We will learn how to count over 100. We will also talk about colors and add some less common colors to our vocabulary. Then will will talk about how to describe people thus using the body parts that the students have already studied along with personality traits.
Week 2, we will talk about going to the Doctor and the different vocabulary needed.
Week 3, we will talk about subjects in school and activities that students like to do. This will include talking about how to form negative statements and how to ask questions.
Week 4 we will talk about going into stores and how to order products.
Week 5 and 6 we will discuss directions and how to get places in France.
Week 7 we will talk about the rooms in the house and furniture.
Week 8 will be a review of everything we have learned.
I will show videos that work with the above topics to learn new vocabulary and to test listening skills. The learners will interact with each other by discussing topics that come up. We will also do some writing.
What students need to have before taking this class is a basic French class learning numbers, days of the week, the alphabet, clothing, food, colors and food. If they did not learn one of the topics, it is not a problem, as we will review all of the topics.
I like to vary the class with listening, speaking and we will add some writing. I like to keep this class positive and casual.

Learning Goals

The students will learn how to make simple sentences in French and how to understand a native speaker who is speaking in simple sentences. Supply List
I will provide worksheets and YouTube videos to supplement the class.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Sources
I will generally find the sources I need from YouTube or will generate papers on the computer.
