Class Experience

Students will learn the basics of the French language, including, but not limited to:

Greetings and goodbyes
Introducing yourself; describing yourself and others
Colors
Numbers
Animals
Food and drink
Family
Handy phrases and question words; how to form a question
How to make a statement negative
Weather and seasons
Entertainment and activities

We'll learn all of the above with of games, songs, videos and perhaps sometimes in-class art activities. The atmosphere is designed to be gentle and...

I have been teaching French professionally (both in group and private classes) since 2011. I have a bachelor's in French from Columbia University and a master's from the Sorbonne-Nouvelle in Paris.

On your end, I recommend just paper and pens/pencils, and on certain weeks, if we're doing an art activity, I might ask you to provide any or all of the following:

Colored pencils, crayons or markers
Construction paper
Scissors
Tape or glue

1 hour 20 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
