Students will learn the basics of the French language, including, but not limited to: Greetings and goodbyes Introducing yourself; describing yourself and others Colors Numbers Animals Food and drink Family Handy phrases and question words; how to form a question How to make a statement negative Weather and seasons Entertainment and activities We'll learn all of the above with of games, songs, videos and perhaps sometimes in-class art activities. The atmosphere is designed to be gentle and relaxed so that even shy students will feel comfortable and confident as they learn to speak. Last but not least, as the course progresses, students will begin to learn how to read in French (by listening and repeating, then gradually doing more on their own).

On your end, I recommend just paper and pens/pencils, and on certain weeks, if we're doing an art activity, I might ask you to provide any or all of the following: Colored pencils, crayons or markers Construction paper Scissors Tape or glue

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
