French Club for Young Learners

This ongoing French Club will meet once per week. Each week, we will learn and sing a song or play a game with french vocabulary. This club is a great opportunity for students to be introduced to new french vocabulary and practice speaking what they already know. This club is designed for students who are just starting to learn French. Beginners are welcome at any time as it would be a fun first exposure to a new language. 

In each class, students will get an opportunity to introduce their names in French and practice other basic question and answer formulas they may know, we will learn the new vocabulary with a slide show and pictures, play games, and use repetition to learn sentence structures. Topics include, but are not limited to, the alphabet, parts of the body, characteristics of people, parts of the house, food, days of the week, sports, seasons, weather, etc. Students are welcome to request topics they would like to learn and talk about! If materials are needed, this will be noted in the classroom before class. 

Please note, this class is not entirely immersive. I do use some English in my classes to build rapport with and among students and to ensure everyone understands.
