US Grade 3 - 6
Beginner Level
Students will embark on their language-learning journey by mastering the basics of introducing themselves and understanding others doing the same. By the end of the course, students will be able to confidently greet others, share personal information, and engage in simple introductory conversations. The course is designed with a strong focus on listening and speaking from the very beginning. Students will be immersed in the French language through a carefully structured approach that gradually builds from language exposure to guided practice and ultimately to spontaneous language production. This method ensures that students not only understand the language but are also able to use it effectively in real-life situations. Teaching in this course is centred around engaging practice activities and expert instruction that cater to beginners. We use sentence builders as a core tool to help students construct meaningful phrases and sentences. Each lesson is packed with a variety of interactive elements, such as games, slides and online activities, which are all designed to reinforce learning in an enjoyable and memorable way. I provide continuous feedback to help students make meaningful progress, guiding them towards fluency and flexibility in their language use. My approach is student-centred, ensuring that each learner feels supported and encouraged to practice speaking and interacting in class.

I have a passion for working with language and languages and love to share my enthusiasm for multilingualism with my students.
I have studied linguistics as an undergraduate and applied linguistics as a post graduate before completing my PGCE and qualifying as a foreign language teaching in the UK.
I have been teaching for about 4 years and tutoring for about 5, working with students improve their French and English. I taught in schools for two years before setting up my company to teach online. I currently work with platforms teaching classes for the UK curriculum, both group classes (up to 20) and 1:1. classes.
I enjoy making my students laugh in the lesson and making them feel comfortable and providing an enjoyable classroom environment. I use sentence builders to provide my students with as much support as they need throughout their learning journey and I tend to favour task based learning and lots of input. I give my students lots of models before asking them to produce any language.
I love to cook and play around with clay to create tiny plant pots. I have a tiny applehead chihuahua named Sanka.
