Students are required to have at least 1 year of previous French study in order to take this class. French language learners will play a Kahoot game and discuss the grammar concepts for each question. Participation in questions will allow students to explain their answers. Students will be able to articulate how adjectives are used in French (much different than in English!). Students will learn and practice the BAGS acronym in order to help them remember how to use adjectives correctly in French. This class will be taught in English to be sure learners understand this grammar concept. Students must be able to navigate to another tab or window in order to go to the Kahoot site to enter the game pin and play!
Learning Goals
Students will be able to identify two groups of adjectives in French, those that come before and after the noun.
Students will be able to explain adjective order in French versus English.
Students will be able to describe people and objects in French using adjectives in the correct order.
Students will identify the exceptions to the before/after rule.

Hi! My name is Megan and I'm a mom, a teacher, and a world traveler! I love learning languages and discovering new cultures, having lived in the US, France, Belgium and Ecuador. I have a passion for teaching and connecting with kids. I have been teaching French at all levels for over 12 years. I'm a native English speaker from New York who truly enjoys helping French language learners understand this complicated language in easy to understand and fun ways! I try engaging learners with new technology, music, videos and games whenever possible. My style is warm, welcoming and allows for students to take risks with new languages in a safe space. I have a B.A in French, Spanish and Education and a M.A in French, Language Literature & Culture. I also hold an advanced certificate in TESOL. I've been a certified teacher in the United States for over 10 years and have taught in public schools for most of my career.
