This 4 week course teaches students to construct compound and complex sentences in both the Present and the Passé Composé tenses. We will also teach possessive pronouns as well as delve further into adjectives, adverbs, and vocabulary.

Class Experience
Bonjour! Welcome to French 102. In this course, we will build upon our knowledge from French 101. This course will include more in-depth looks into the French language and culture. We will learn how to construct compound and complex sentences in both the Present tense and the Passé Composé. We will also learn conjugations of various verb forms, further our vocabulary, and learn more details of the geography and architecture of France. Students will be able to effectively read, write, and speak using both the Present Tense and the Passé Composé, with a comprehensive understanding of 300 vocabulary words. Learners will also be able to effectively conjugate various verb forms and have an understanding of French geography, culture, and architecture.
5+ years of formal education in the French language, including an accredited University Minor Degree
We will construct a paper together over the course of the 4 weeks and there will be a couple of required worksheets.
French-English Dictionary
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Each week will have a 20 question multiple choice quiz with one essay question (1 paragraph in length) and one oral component to assess student learning that week, along with a 60 question exam with 5 short answer (1 word - 1 sentence in length) and one oral component on the last class day. The students will also be assessed on their papers which will be constructed throughout the course.
3 hours per week in class, and an estimated 2 - 4 hours per week outside of class.
