In this beginner French class, the student will learn the names of the months and seasons. They will also learn the verb "porter" (to wear). We will talk about what we do in the different months and what we wear in different seasons. Students will find the atmosphere of this class very welcoming and supportive. I will model all vocabulary and sentence structures and students will have lots of opportunities to participate at their level. It is expected that students participate orally as this is really the only way to learn to use a new language. They will have lots of support to ensure their success. No prior experience is necessary. I teach other beginning French classes that build on one another.
Learning Goals
After taking this class, learners will:
-be able to name the months of the year in order
-be able to name the seasons
-be able to use the verb porter in sentences
