Class Experience
What better way to begin learning French than starting with the alphabet and the numbers. Many of the letter sounds are the same as in English so we will look at an alphabet chart and discover how easy it is to learn the similarities and differences. The French numbering system is very interesting and follows an easy to master pattern. In this class, we will practice the French alphabet and use it to spell many words (students' names, and common French objects.) We will practice counting,...
After completing this class, learners will: -be able to properly pronounce all of the letters of the French alphabet and use them to spell their name -be able to recite the numbers from 1-10 and be familiar with the number structure pattern for numbers 20-100
I have taught basic French classes in the public school system for several years. I have also taken 4 university level French courses.
No homework is assigned; however, when learning a new language, practice is important. There will be 2 handout sheets to use as further reference.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No formal assessment is provided.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
