I have been learning French for 6 years now, from French 1 - French 5. I am conversationally fluent and about a B2 level. I've been tutoring French since May 2020 when the French immersion school near us closed for quarantine and I've been teaching French on Outschool for 6 months. I took the French CLEP test a few years ago and got maybe 5 points away from a perfect score while testing out of and getting credit for all the French classes at my local community college. I also continue to take French lessons with native speakers, and I am working on getting my Bachelors in French.
There will not be assigned homework, as this is meant to be a more relaxing class for the summer. However, students who intend to take French 2 should study any vocabulary/grammar they missed or don't fully understand.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will receive an informal evaluation at the end of the section.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.

All break-out rooms will be closely monitored by me switching between rooms to keep students on-topic and help when needed. If a particular group of students gets to a point of being out-of-control and other methods don’t work, break out rooms will be stopped for the rest of the session.
