I am a French graduate and qualified teacher (B.A. Honours in French and English, PGCE in Secondary French and Elementary school subjects with French). I have lived and worked in France and have taught French at all levels of school (Elementary to High School, including exam classes). I have current experience of teaching French 1 and French 2 online with Outschool. I have also lived and worked in France and the French speaking part of Belgium. I spend 2-3 months at our holiday home in France each year to maintain my language skills.
Homework tasks will be set each week. Students will also complete Projects on topics of their own choice. The homework, including work on Projects, will take about 60 minutes each week.
I will provided worksheets for most classes, as required, and in advance, so that the students have them for reference. A bilingual dictionary, or access to an online dictionary, will be helpful. Students are welcome to use Duolingo or similar language learning apps in their own time.
Verbal feedback is given to students in class. Brief written feedback will be given after class if needed. Projects will be assessed verbally and written feedback will be given. Assessments will be provided according to Prisma's own system.
