In this lecture-style class, students will learn about the history of socialized healthcare in Canada. Where did it start? How does it actually work? Is everything free in Canada? Is it really impossible to see a doctor? We will dispel some myths about Canadian healthcare, while simultaneously shedding light on the origin on this system and where we are today. Students will be able to discuss with the teacher and with each other. They will be encouraged to ask and answer questions...

I have always been fascinated with history, and the particular history of the emergence of socialized healthcare here in Canada is something that has always been interesting to me. I can't wait to share this history with you!
