What's included
Homework
1-2 hours per week. Students should prepare the weekly recipes and participate in weekly discussion threads in the classroom as they feel comfortable.Class Experience
This class has recipes picked specifically for gluten-free and dairy-free cooking but anyone is free to join the class because all the recipes are delicious. Students will be watching videos through the Outschool classroom page and preparing meals each week. Students can also participate in sharing their meals with others and answer the weekly discussion questions about meal preparation. There will be no live classes, but students may message the teacher as often as needed to ask questions. My teaching style is very informal and encourage discussion and participation as students feel comfortable. I will often use a cast-iron skillet to cook in, but it is not necessary for students. Students should be comfortable in the kitchen using the stove, oven, microwave, sharp knives, and a shredder/grater or have support from an adult for these parts of the recipes. All recipes will provide enough servings for a family of 4 unless otherwise listed. Week 1: Breakfast- BLT Frittatta, Warm Apple Breakfast for 1 Discussion Question posted Would you rather...?
