Class Experience

Frankie Sparks is a third grade student who loves to use the scientific method and STEM skills to solve everyday problems! Learners will read the book before coming to class.  Each week we will start class with a question that relates to the book and discuss the characters and plot of the book.  I will also review the scientific method as Frankie uses it in each book as she approaches the challenges that she faces. Learners will share their favorite moments from each book and complete a fun...

Due to copyright regulations, we will not be reading the books in their entirety during class. All of the chapters should be read at home independently, with a family member or friend, or as a read aloud (audio books work well too!). I encourage learners to find these books at your local library, or discount book sites like thriftbooks.com or amazon.com.

Please bring a pencil, scissors, markers/crayons to class. If a handout is needed for class I will post it in the classroom prior to class. If you don't have a printer available, no problem! Please bring a whiteboard or plain paper.

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
