“ Fractured Fairy Tale-Goldilocks” will teach second-third grade students how to organize story details to improve comprehension skills. Upon watching short story narration videos, students will expand their story organizational skills by comparing and contrasting story details depicted in the original fairy tale and the fractured fairy tale. Students will learn strategies to outline story details essential to writing a summary. With guidance from the instructor, students will identify key elements within the stories. Learners will be encouraged to engage in the lesson by answering questioning probes. Additionally, students will share their picture interpretations of their favorite part of the story with peers.

Students will expand their story organizational skills by comparing and contrasting an original fairy tale from the fractured fairy tale.

As an educator, I look forward to implementing essential strategies in facilitating optimal learning and engaging experiences with my students. A fun fact about me is that I am a bilingual speaker of English and Haitian-Creole, and I LOVE to learn more about world cultures including music, food, and art.
