For parents who would like a final assessment, students will be provided with a one page worksheet of mixed practice with adding and subtracting fractions. This can then be submitted to me for feedback.

➕Day 1: Simplifying Fractions
Students will work to find the greatest common factor between a numerator and denominator to get a fraction into simplest form. 

➕Day 2: Adding Fractions
Students will add fractions with like denominators.

Students will add fractions with different denominators by...
-Finding the least common multiple of the denominators
-Rewriting the fractions so they have the same denominator
-Adding the two fractions together  

➕Day 3: Subtracting Fractions
Students will subtract fractions with like denominators.

Students will subtract fractions with different denominators by...
-Finding the least common multiple of the denominators
-Rewriting the fractions so they have the same denominator
-Subtracting the fractions

➕Day 4: Adding and Subtracting Fractions
Students will practice a mixture of adding and subtracting fractions with different denominators.
