Description

Class Experience

Students will improve their understanding of how to add/subtract/multiply/divide Fractions, Mixed Numbers, and Improper Fractions.
Students will also gain insight into what fractions are and what they represent.
I have a Master's Degree in Education and have been teaching and tutoring since 2005. I have found that so many students struggle with later math because of a weak understanding of fractions and how they work. I hope that by offering this class when they are still young we will nip the problem in the bud before it becomes a big problem later on.
Each class homework will be assigned that covers the material from that day and days before. Homework shouldn't take more than 20 minutes max. If it does please message me so we can work on any problems.

All homework is individual work.
Students should have something to take notes and work problems with. Other than that not much is needed.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
This is a supplementary class so no grade is usually given. If you'd like one please ask before the class begins so I can make sure to keep track of it for your student.

Having said that there is an assessment on the last day to help your student see how they are doing. We will discuss this at the end of the last class and see what can be done to improve any lingering trouble areas.
3 hours 40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
