Description

Class Experience

In this one-week course, students will meet for five, 50-minute sessions to master fractions and mixed number basics.  
We will make cheat sheets each day to use for reference in the future.

Day 1
-We will discuss the types of fractions (proper and improper) and the value of the fractions (less than one and greater than or equal to one)
-We will break down the pieces of fractions and mixed numbers  (whole number, numerator, denominator)
-We will draw various fractions and mixed numbers

Day...

During class, we will work on a cheat sheet for each topic.   This is meant to serve as a reference sheet when going into other math topics.   Optional homework each night will be to decorate and highlight their cheat sheet.

  1 file available upon enrollmentTeacher will provide a template for the cheat sheets that we will be filling out each day.   

Other required materials include:
-Printed copies of cheat sheets, or ability to write on in an electronic version
-Scrap paper/white board
-Pencil/dry erase marker
-Color coding materials

4 hours 10 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
