Description
Class Experience
In this 8-week session, students will meet twice a week for 45 minutes each class. Fractions and decimals are mathematical concepts that go hand in hand with each other, and will continue to be present in higher level math for most students. In this class, learners will be exposed to the basic concepts of both fractions and decimals. They will also learn how to switch between the two, and convert one to the other. My teaching philosophy is that students learn best when they feel safe and...
Learners will gain confidence in understanding fractions and decimals, as well as understanding in how the two relate to one another and how to convert between the two
Homework will be provided in the classroom each week. Learners are encouraged to complete it for additional practice, should they so desire. Any submitted homework will be returned with feedback. Homework is optional.
Learners should have something to write on and something to write with for during class time. Optional homework will be posted as a pdf and can be digitally completed, or printed out if a printer is available. Alternative formats available upon request.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
