Description

Class Experience

In this class, the student will gain an understanding of fractions and how to combine them using the four basic mathematical functions: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. In our first lesson, we will define some terms and model the fractions to give a greater awareness of value and meaning. As the students evaluate the models, they will be able to compare fractions as being greater than, less than, or equivalent to, other fractions. In the second class, our focus will be on...

I will post a worksheet before each class that the learner may complete individually. This will be an optional assignment. If your student completes it, they may bring it to class and/or submit it for feedback.

The student should bring writing materials to class (either pencil/paper or whiteboard/dry erase marker/eraser) for note taking and for solving problems together. As with all classes, the student should bring a positive attitude and a readiness to learn.

If your student wishes to submit the optional homework, I will grade it and provide feedback.

1 hour per week in class, and no time outside of class.
