Description
Class Experience
This small group math workshop will review math concepts typically taught in a fourth grade program. I will review the method and reasoning used to solve each problem. Then students will practice each skill using dry erase boards (or paper and pencil). Students will take turns explaining the steps to solve the problem. Each topic will typically take two day to address. Week of June 8 - Topic 1: Review of place value and rounding rules, practice June 15 - Topic 2: Multi digit addition...
Students will improve their understanding of the math concepts introduced and/or reviewed during this workshop.
Additional problems may be assigned to reinforce lessons. Work should take 20 to 30 minutes to complete.
Paper, pencil Dry erase board and dry erase marker protractor, ruler I will give at least one week notice when any other material is needed.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
