Some math core concepts must be mastered, as they are the building blocks for higher mathematics. For example, numbers are the foundation of mathematics and students must learn to count and acquire instant recall of the single-digit number facts for addition and multiplication (and the related facts for subtraction and division). We will practice adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers with and without regrouping, multi-digit multiplication and division, multi-step word problems, fractions (equivalent, adding, subtracting, multiplying), and decimals.
I have Bachelor's Degrees in Elementary Education and Psychology from Rowan University. I have 25 years of experience in the classroom ages 3-11. I have taught in public and private schools in the United States and I taught for 10 years at the International School of Hamburg in Germany. I have been on Outschool for several years.
For each lesson, there will be a homework page for continued practice.
