In this fourteen week class, students will learn subtraction, addition, multiplication and division. They will also learn about shapes, angles, area, and perimeter.

***This class is one-semester of the full-year fourth-grade curriculum. The class meets in semesters of the school year to better meet the needs of students and their school schedules.*** This class when combined with the other semester will cover all the content needed for fourth grade. In each class, I will introduce the topic to students by modeling how to solve the problems. Then, we will work together to solve the problems as a class. Students will be able to fluently add. Students will be able to add numbers with decimals. Students will be able to fluently subtract. Students will be able to subtract numbers with decimals. Students will be able to write numbers in different forms. Student will be able to round numbers. Students will be able to solve multiplication problems. Student will be able to solve division problems. Students will be able to solve multiplication word problems. Students will be able to solve division word problems. Students will be able to discuss lines. Students will be able to classify two dimensional shapes. Students will be able to classify three dimensional shapes and describe their features. Students will be able to identify the different types of angles. Students will be able to measure angles. Students will be able to identify translations, reflections, and rotations. Students will be able to find the area of a square and rectangle. Students will be able to find the perimeter of a square and rectangle. Students will be able to solve time word problems

Homework Offered
I will assign homework if I feel that students are ready to practice independently. Homework will always be optional. I will provide answers for the students to check their work.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
I will check each student's progress by having them answer questions in the chat or holding up answers on a piece of paper or whiteboard. If you would like me to look over student's homework and grade it, I am more than happy to.Grades Offered

- Calculator (can be on device) - Protractor (will provide one that can be printed) - Notebook or whiteboard I may share a Google Slides/Doc with the students so that they can do problems on it. You do not need a Google account to use it. I will post worksheets for optional homework. Students may want to print the worksheets to solve the problems.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Students will occasionally use Google Drive to work with Google Slides. They do not need an account to do this. I will provide a link to each student. I will also occasionally screen-share Google Docs and Google Slides.
This class is based on standards throughout the United States for the grade level.
