Description
Class Experience
Each class will cover a third-grade objective. I will begin with a short lesson. Then practice the skill to check for understanding. I will incorporate problem-solving and/or an activity that is fun in each lesson. Topics to be addressed: Week of Aug. 18: Number Sense - place value, even and odd, comparing numbers Week of Aug. 25: Operations - adding or subtracting, Week of Sept. 01: Operations - multiplication or division Week of Sept. 08: Geometry - 2 and 3-dimensional shapes,...
Students should have paper and pencil for working out problems. I encourage learners to keep a journal of what they are learning. This can be done in a spiral notebook. A small whiteboard and marker would also be useful during class. There will be times we will write on the screen, so if they cannot write from their device the whiteboard would be a must.
