Teacher expertise and credentials
"It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default." This quote from J.K. Rowling sums up my theory of education. I firmly believe that the best educational experience consists of a series of fails and the culmination of those failures are growth. As a NYC public school teacher, it has always been my goal to provide students with opportunities to grow.
I am a special educator in Brooklyn, NY. I have been teaching for nine years in various settings and grades. I have taught 3,4,5 grade as well as self-contained, ICT, and Nest. I currently teach 4th grade Nest. The Nest program is a program for students autism spectrum disorder. While teaching, I never thought that I would be in a position to work from home until 2020. Suddenly, I was teaching virtually and learning as much as my students. During this time, I began searching for other experiences and found VIPkid and Qkids, which allowed me to begin teaching English to students in China.
I can't wait to work with your child and provide them with educational opportunities to grow. I believe every child can learn and I am excited to be a part of that process. See you in my classroom!
