Description

Class Experience

We will focus on the Common Core reading standards for the upper elementary students. Each lesson, we will focus on a skill or skills that are beneficial to the curriculum taught in the classroom. (Finding the main idea, Summarizing, Figurative Language, Using context clues, and many more!)

Through these lessons, the following strategies will be implemented: 

Day 1: Identify the main concept and supporting details of a text. Summarize the text. (Read pre-selected fictional text at 4th/5th...

Currently, I am a 5th-grade teacher. I have taught 4th and 5th-grade students for the past 13 years and would love to share my passion with other students!

Please bring paper and colors (crayons, markers, colored pencils.)

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:Flocabulary
