Class experience
I have been a music teacher for over 20 years! I have taught piano, guitar, ukulele, flute, childrens music classes and I owned my own music studio for 10 years! But my FIRST instrument.... guitar. It is an amazing instrument that is fun to play and I love teaching others! In this small guitar class, students will learn the basics of guitar including: - How to Tune the Instrument - The Names of Each String - How to Read the Notes on the Staff - How to Read TAB for guitar - Strumming...
This class is taught in English.
I have been teaching music for over 25 years privately as well as tutoring in classrooms and running my own music school for 10 years. My true passion is to teach students of any age the joy of music! I teach guitar, piano, flute, theory and children's music classes.
Homework Offered
Students will be sent music sheets by pdf each week to practice and to play along in class. These music sheets are from Hal Leonard Guitar Method 1, students are welcome to purchase the book as well. Students will need to practice around 10 minutes a day between classes.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Parents and Guardians are welcome to request an assessment or report at the end of the four classes. Messages are sent during classes for encouragement and homework.Grades Offered
An acoustic guitar (smaller children may need a half size depending on arm length) Please tune the guitar PRIOR to class using the link for a tuner or other apps or tuners. A pick Access to the music to practice sheets (will be sent to print or save on the computer) A chair without arms if possible (stool or piano bench works well)
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Music sheets will be used in class, they will be on the screen, students are encouraged to print them out as they will be added to the comment section after each class, a book can be recommended as well.
