Students will learn all of the founding purpose of the US Government and Civic Life. The course will begin with how do people come to be governed and end with roots of American democracy. 

 I have a professional teaching license and have spent over 13 years teaching social studies to a hundreds of students. I currently teach Government at a local Jr/Sr high school (7-12). I have vast knowledge and experience with this content having a working knowledge of all aspects of functioning government. I also have an abundance of resources related to the curriculum having taught the subject for so long. 

Homework Offered
Students will be expected to complete assignments and assessments. The majority of the work will require students to work independently, but occasionally they may be requested to comment on the post from another student. The amount of time spent on classwork at home each week will depend on how quickly each student is able complete parts of the course. However, it is expected that students will spend no less than 2 hours per week. 
2 - 4 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Students will be assessed throughout the class. All tasks will be assigned for the purpose of assessment and parents will be notified of student progress each week. Parents are encouraged to communicate throughout the course with the teacher about any issues related to class and student performance. 
Grades Offered

A textbook with not be required to purchase for this class. All articles and resources will be provided by the course instructor.
