In this one-time class session, students will learn basic principles of personal finance; including checking and savings accounts, credit versus debit, wants versus needs, budgeting and more!

Beginner Level
This short seminar class will detail the differences between checking and savings accounts, credit and debits cards, and wants and needs. Students will also learn how to create a budget, and be given support on creating a budget themselves. The class will be structured as a lecture, with opportunities for students to join into the discussions. Students will know the difference between checking and savings accounts. Students will know the difference between credit and debit cards. Students will know the difference between wants and needs. Students will be able to create a budget based on essentials and wants within their own lives.
A phone/laptop to be able to log onto educational games such as Kahoot. A pencil and piece of paper.
