In this four week course we will meet twice a week. We will discuss lighting, explore exercises in finding light and interpret it). Each week I will introduce a new technique, discuss light and assign a photo to take for the next class.

During the first found lighting class we will discuss what it is and how we can find it or make it without fancy professional equipment. This class pulls a lot of inspiration from the book, The Artists Way by Julia Cameron. The class, like the book is an exploration of one's own interpretation through repetitive habits (taking photos) and exploration (discussing light and other photographic techniques). We will also compare and contrast it to other forms of photography such as natural...
Each student will walk away with a few new ways to look at light and how we can utilize it in photography without professional equipment.
A digital camera and a way to share the photo assignments with the class. Photos should not be stored on the same device that the child is taking the class on.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
1 hour per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
