In this 35 minute class, students will discover how fossils are formed and model one type of formation using playdough.

Description
Class Experience
Students will be able to identify the types of fossils. Students will be able to model one type of fossil using playdough. Students will be able to define vocabulary specific to the material.
An optional task will be given for the learner to extend their learning and complete with the guardian if desired.
1 file available upon enrollmentPlaydough- 1 to 2 tubs, Small Objects such as shells, coins, or figurines Optional Extension Worksheet- may be completed with guardian outside of class, does not need to be printed for class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
The learner will be informally assessed through questions and review of the material.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
