In this class, students will be trying to solve a murder mystery based on the Fortnite video game. This class will take place 100% in zoom and students will not log into Fortnite. Like in the game clue, students will work individually to unlock clues from other players to discover where the crime took place, what the murder weapon was, and who the murder is. Parents will need to print or have the Detective Worksheet available for their student. At the beginning of class, the teacher will give each student their own secret clues. Throughout the class, students will roll a dice and move throughout the slide show of a Fortnite map landing on different locations. They will then make suggestion about how the crime to took place. The other students in the class will try to disprove their case. the person who can make the correct accusation first will be the winner
Learning Goals
Students will practice turn taking, problem solving, and detective skills. This will all take place throughout the course of the game. Students will wait for other students to go before their turn happens. They will then use their clues and the clues along the way to solve problems. They will be trying to uncover a mystery.
