Hey there, gaming squad! Get ready to take your math and mapping skills to the next level in this Fortnite-themed class! Together, we will learn how to read and write coordinates using the Fortnite map. No prior experience necessary! As always, we will begin class by sharing some quick introductions. We may be from different areas of the world, but we all have one thing in common... we love the game of Fortnite! :) The first part of class will be dedicated to learning how to read and write...
By the end of class, students will be able to read and write out coordinates and apply their knowledge to real life applications, such as grid maps.
1 file available upon enrollment- 2 printable pages will be provided prior to class. (This includes a location reference guide and a map displaying coordinate markers.) *Please make sure you are able to open another tab during class for when we access Kahoot! ( kahoot.it ) I recommend using another device if possible (tablet, smartphone, laptop), but opening another tab in your browser will work just fine! :) Students cannot go back and forth between screens on an iPad or tablet so if they are using an iPad or tablet for Zoom, they will need a second device for Kahoot.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
