In my gaming club, I prioritize creating a fun and inclusive learning environment for your child, where they can explore their gaming interests and build a sense of community. To make the class feel more like a club and less like a traditional classroom, I intentionally avoid assigning homework or assessments. Instead, I structure our sessions to be interactive and engaging, with a perfect balance of educational content and exciting gameplay. My focus is on providing a positive and enjoyable learning experience, where your child can develop important skills and forge meaningful connections with like-minded peers.
2 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Fortnite may contain intense action and competitive gameplay that could be upsetting or overwhelming to some learners. It's important for me as the instructor to create a supportive and inclusive environment where learners feel comfortable expressing any concerns. Although there are MANY young Fortnite gamers, Fortnite has an official rating of "T for Teen" by the ESRB, indicating that it is suitable for ages 13 and older. But our children are playing it, nonetheless. So, I will provide guidance on age-appropriate content and promote responsible gaming habits, online safety, and positive gaming behavior. I will also monitor discussions and gameplay sessions to maintain a respectful and inclusive environment, ensuring the comfort and well-being of all learners.
