Forensic Science Camp: Intro. to Cryptography

In this 3-day camp students will be introduced to the fascinating world of cryptography, ciphers and codes, as well as getting the chance to create and decode ciphers and code puzzles with classmates.

Class Experience

Students will be able to:
- describe the study of cryptography
- explain the difference between cryptographs and codes
- create and decode several types of cryptographs and codes
Students will need:
- Paper and pencil or pen
- PDF copy of book that I will send (not printed, just open in a window during class to be accessed during Day 3 class)
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
