In this Ongoing class students will learn about the Forces of Nature and Natural Disasters. This is an Ongoing Class and a student may join and drop-in any week of the class. In this course students will learn about the Forces of Nature-how, when and where do they happen and how to measure and classify their destruction- Volcanoes, Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Floods, Hurricanes and Tornadoes. Since I share videos in class that require permission and subscription, I am able to play them in class but do not have permission to share them online. I therefore do not share the class recording. Thanks.:) First 2 minutes will be an introduction of the teacher and students and a discussion on the topic for the day. Next 38 minutes will be teacher sharing a Google Slide presentation, reinforcing the concepts learned in the class with examples and short video clips on the topic for the class, from a credible educational source with graphics and animations. Students will note down some points as we are watching and discussing it. They may use graphics/flowcharts/concept maps for these concepts as well. Last 5 minutes student will share his/her learning with the class and may ask relevant and essential questions. Student may also share a graphic/poster/drawing of the force of nature discussed in class and can add their own flair of creativity. A Review Note Sheet and an optional Kahoot Quiz will be shared in the classroom for review at home after the class. Learning Goals
In this course students will learn about the Forces of Nature-Volcanoes, Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Floods, Hurricanes, Tornadoes : How, when and where do they happen, the types, measure the destruction, most destructive ones, helpful in any way, fun facts, watches, warnings and how to protect ourselves.

Parental Guidance
Students will be encouraged to take notes on a sheet of paper. They may use graphics/charts as well to note down important points as we discuss and watch video and presentation in class.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
