In this 1 session class learners will discuss what plants in their area are edible and share information with each other.

Class experience

Learners will explore foraging for food and things to consider when foraging. 

*This class relates directly to B.C. Ministry of Education Curricular Core Competencies around Ecology and the Environment. 
Yvonne has been a forager in her area for a long time.  With Girl Guides, she has taught local foraging skills and every year uses these skills to compliment her gardening. 
Carly has been an experienced forager for her coastal area for years.  
Homework Offered
Check your local community for tours of edible weeds or foraging classes specific to your area to continue exploring this easy way to find food!
