In this ongoing class, we will work through various comprehension skills and strategies to improve reading comprehension.
Class experience
US Grade 1 - 4
Each week the class will focus on specific reading comprehension skills and strategies. Some of the topics will be inferences, plot, summary, character development, theme, and more. The class will utilize story books or pixar short videos to teach lessons. There will be high engagement through discussion and activities allow the learner to grasp the concepts and skills. Students will improve their reading comprehension skills and learn to apply the skills and strategies into their everyday reading and learning.
Homework Offered
A homework assignment will be given depending on the topics and placed in the classroom. These activities will be completed individually. Homework should only take about 30 minutes a week to practice the skill taught.0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

There will be informal assessments and exit tickets at the end of each class.Grades Offered
Learners should have pencils, coloring utensils, and paper available at each session. Specific items for each individual lesson will be posted within 24 hours prior to the class.
